Bookmakers add a margin (overround, vig, juice) to their odds — so the implied probabilities sum to more than 100%. To find real value you first need to strip that margin off and reveal the fair line. This tool does exactly that for 2-way and 3-way markets — instantly, no signup.
Select the market type, type in the odds, read out margin and fair lines. Math runs live in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
If you don't remove the vig you compare your edge to a price that already includes the book's fee. Many fake-value signals disappear once odds are devigged.
Sum the inverse of every decimal odd in a market. Fair lines sum to exactly 1 (100%). Anything above 1 is the book's edge over you. A 5% margin means you start each bet 5 points behind.
Simple normalization: scale each implied probability so they sum to 1, then invert. This is the no-vig method used here and in most EV-finders. Treats the margin as evenly distributed across outcomes.
Measured on 10,682 ATP matches 2022-2025 (Sprint 0 backtest). Pinnacle margin averaged 2.62% — the sharpest mainstream pricing on the market. Soft books B365/Bet365 sat at 5.24%, RU books range 5-8%. The gap between Pinnacle and a soft book is the value window — roughly 2.6 percentage points.
Proportional no-vig assumes the book distributes its margin evenly across outcomes — but in 3-way soccer markets the draw line often carries a bigger share of the juice. More advanced methods (Shin, Power, logarithmic) correct for this. They matter at the margins — for everyday devigging the simple method is fine. See our methodology for details.
Devig is the first step — the next is comparing devigged sharp-book odds to soft-book prices in real time. Our /track page shows every paper bet placed against median consensus from Pinnacle / Betfair / Matchbook.
